Dance Ministry of Faith United

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Ps. 149:3

Dancing is mentioned often in the Bible and is used throughout the Old Testament as a means of worship and praise to God. God was pleased with dancing that worshiped. There are many forms of dance that can be used to in praising and worshiping the Lord. No matter which is being used, the individual becomes more than just a dancer and more than just a dance team. They are worship leaders and dance is the means by which they lead the people of God into worship. They must have the mindset of a Worship Leader and submit themselves the guidance of the Holy Spirit not only in dance but in the selection of their music as well.

Praise dancing is a liturgical or spiritual dance that incorporates music and movement as a form of worship rather than as an expression of art or as entertainment. Praise dancers use their bodies to express the word and spirit of God. Their dance has the power to elevate God's people into the heavenly realm of pure worship. We encourage and expect our dances to reject performances to promote themselves, but ministry that lifts up Jesus.
